Richard Boyatzis, Ph.D.

Richard Boyatzis, Ph.D.

Dr. Richard Boyatzis is the H. R. Horvitz Professor of Family Business for the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He has authored and co-authored several books including The Competent Manager (1982) and Primal Leadership: Learning to Lead with Emotional Intelligence (2002). His current research focuses on the way people and organizations "engage in sustainable, desired change."


Angela Ciccia, Ph.D.

Angela Ciccia, Ph.D.

Dr. Angela Ciccia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences. Her research interests focus on social information processing skills of typically developing adolescents and those with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Dr. Ciccia's current research projects focus on the use of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to identify the underlying functional neuroanatomy involved in social information processing in teens.


Anastasia Dimitropoulos, Ph.D.

Anastasia Dimitropoulos, Ph.D.

An Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, Dr. Anastasia Dimitropoulos's work focuses on examining behavior and cognition of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders. In addition to cognitive and behavioral assessments, Dr. Dimitroupolos' lab uses brain imaging (fMRI) to examine cognitive processes associated with specific behavior. Currently, her research is directed at understanding several characteristics of individuals with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS).

Dr. Alan Lerner is currently the director of the Memory and Cognition Center at the University Hospitals Case Medical Center. He is the author of The Little Black Book of Neurology (1994) and Diagnostic Criteria in Neurology (2006). His professional interests include Alzheimer's Disease, Adult ADD/ADHD, and higher cortical functions.


Soumya Ray, Ph.D.

Soumya Ray, Ph.D.

Dr. Soumya Ray is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Case Western Reserve University. His focus is on artificial intelligence, with interests in the development of new algorithms and "the application of machine learning methods to complex problems in software engineering, computer security, computer networks and bioinformatics."

Philip Robbins, Ph.D.

Dr. Philip Robbins is Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Missouri. His current research in the MU Experimental Philosophy Lab explores how people think about morality in relation to the mind, and how individual differences in this domain relate to differences in personality and cognitive style. He is co-editor, with Murat Aydede, of the Cambridge Handbook of Situated Cognition (2009).

Stuart Youngner, MD

Dr. Stuart Youngner is the Chair of the Department of Bioethics and Susan E. Watson Professor of Bioethics at Case Western Reserve University. His focus is on end of life decision-making, definition of death, and clinical ethics consultation. He has testified before the United States Congress, and is the editor or coeditor of 8 books.
